Description of the problem | I have a 2005 infiniti fx 35. It only has 62,000 miles on it and every one of the door lock actuators have failed. I feel its a safety issue, because you cannot get in the vehicle from the outside except for the drivers side door with the key. The other doors do not have a key to gain access so you have to go through the inside of the vehicle to manually unlock it. Each door has to be manually unlocked or unlocked from the inside. I had to replace each door actuator which range from $270 dollars to over $300 not including labor. It seems that there is some type of defect going on with these actuators for them all to go bad. Infiniti's response was that it's fairly common with those models. |
