Description of the problem	2011 infiniti fx 35 - dealer recommends the replacement of the fuel sender & a/c amp for $1,765. 09. My research reveals that this issue/part has been a concern since 2003 (nissan/infiniti) - i have a 2011. Basically the gas gauge no longer works therefore the driver doesn't know when gas is needed. This morning 1/31/2020 i was on my way to work and got 6 doors away from my home and my car stopped in the middle of the street - out of gas and i had to call aaa to bring me gas so i could get to the gas station. I am grateful that my car stopped in the middle of my block as oppose to stopping on the most dangerous stretch of highway in philadelphia "the roosevelt expressway/blvd" - making this malfunction a safety concern for the owner and fellow drivers on the highway. Nissan/infiniti has this problem since 2003 and i have a 2011 with only 75000 miles on it. I was a loyal customer to my infiniti dealer and was told there was nothing that they were will to do to correct this problem. Is this problem not being correct for so many years because it is making nissan/infiniti extra money on repairs?! One thing for sure it is putting consumer/drivers at risk of injury and death.
