Description of the problem | My 2017 tucson now has 1,771 miles. I have the same fears for my family, myself as well as others when i drive this vehicle. Problems occur after i have driving at least 15 to 20 minutes. If suv then sits for a short while they may start up at that point. Several times merging onto the busy intersection i attempt to pull forward with the intention of making a left hand turn. I apply pressure to the gas pedal, my suv slowly moves into oncoming traffic. The rpm's rev, but the vehicle barely moves. I have cars coming down a hill towards me the car behind me has slammed on their brakes. More pressure applied to the gas, eventually i have power. Sitting at a red light when it turns green, again pressure applied to the gas and the car revs and suv edges forward. I feel like l have no power then all of a sudden the suv starts to move. I am going to cause an accident and it will be at the hands of hyundai. I have explained my concern to hyundai and was told they never heard of this, but bring it in for an appointment. I scheduled an oil change while their i asked them to please check my concerns and i explained again. Went back a few hours later & they found nothing, no codes came up to explain any issues, i could leave it for three days at a future date so they could spend an extended period of time with it. They never ended up having a rental to take it as of yet. 2016 tucson owners experiended the same issues. Hyundais 2nd year with the same issues, 2016's tackled with no success. When i approached the dealership with this issue i was told they never heard of this before. If hyundai is unable to fix tjis problem they should replace the transmission. Go to the root of the problem before someone gets hurt or worse yet killed. I know that i do not feel safe driving this vehicle. How is it legal selling something knowing that it's not safe. |
