Description of the problem | The car consistently hesitates and violently jerks upon acceleration. Additionally, several times after a complete stop, the car will not accelerate when pushing on the gas. The engine revs, but it feels like the car isn't fully in gear (like riding the clutch in a manual transmission). This caused me almost to be rear ended when turning onto a 55 mph highway. The dealership has performed two software updates from hyundai and the problem persists. I feel that the car is unsafe to drive and am currently driving a rental car while the dealership continues to fix the problem. |
