Description of the problem | The problem is the dual clutch transmission (dct). At times, when progressing from a stop (stationary), the engine rpm increases normally but the transmission does not impart motion to the wheels. Dealer cannot duplicate the problem. There are numerous complaints on nhtsa website and on the hyundai forum website. Hyundai is silent about this problem. This is a serious safety defect. Hyundai needs to recall this dct for repair/replacement immediately. |
