Description of the problem | Passenger side doors - first the front passenger door, then the rear passenger door - stopped opening. Front passenger door was able to be opened from the inside (rolling down window), but the back door had the child lock engaged so could not be opened at all. Analysis at dealership determined it was (in both cases) the actuator and this seems to be a widespread issue. This is a safety issue as i had my 3 year old in childseat in back and could not get to her quickly. I've now moved her car seat to the other side, however, i do not want to engage the childlock on that door in case the same thing happens - then i would not be able to reach her at all - this is a huge safety concern for me. |
