Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2015 hyundai tucson. While the vehicle was idle, a raccoon entered the engine compartment and ate the insulation. Taylor hyundai of perrysburg (12681 eckel junction rd, perrysburg, oh) was contacted and referred the contact to the manufacturer since the vehicle was not covered under warranty. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified and admitted that they used a soy-based compound for the insulation. The manufacturer also stated that they could not assist since there were no recalls for the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 42,000. |
