Description of the problem | Check engine like came on. The dealer told me that the oil control valve had metal shavings in it. The engine needed to be replaced. It is under warranty, i was told the engines were on back order for 4 weeks. That was on 10/31/2018. As of today (2/20/19), i still do not have my car. They have no idea how long it will be. I will be given a remanufactured engine with the balance of my factory warranty. I know that this is a widespread problem among tucson, santa fe and sonata models. I believe there has been a recall on everything but the tucson |
