Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2012 hyundai tuscan. The contact stated that while driving approximately 45 mph, a loud banging noise began to come from the engine of the vehicle. The contact pulled over and had the vehicle towed. The contact stated that the vehicle sounded as if the motor had been blown. The contact had not taken the vehicle to the dealership. The vehicle had not been officially diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer stated that the vehicle was included in nhtsa campaign number: 19v063000 (engine and engine cooling) however, it was for changing an oil pan gasket and the oil pressure switch, not the engine. The approximate failure mileage was 112,000. |
