Description of the problem | I was driving my tucson about 50-55 mph on a two way highway (3) when my car started making a loud noise, the noise was like it was knocking and screeching. The car then started shacking and slowed to about 20-25 mph. I put my flashers on as several cars passed me. The engine light came on and i pulled off the road. This was the first time any of these things happened with my car. I called my husband, who was out of town. He had the car towed to his business and then towed to a repair business once he returned. His mechanic looked at the car and told my husband that the car had a thrown rod. He saved oil which he said has shavings in it. He also told him that hyundai tucson |
