Description of the problem | When driving the vehicle on a five hour trip, the engine suddenly became very noisy. Following evaluation by the dealership it was determined that the engine has a failed rod bearing. The engine was not torn down for a detailed analysis to make this determination. The only avenue offered to repair the vehicle was to install a junk yard engine as parts and engine components are not available through the manufacturer. |
