Description of the problem | Started my car in the morning and it took a little longer to crank before starting. Drove it half a mile and kind of noticed decrease in performance then starting up a hill and just forget about it. Very very slow. At the top of the hill the check engine light popped on and at that point i was already looking for a safe place to pull over. Drove an additional 1/10th of a mile to pull over (mostly cruised since it was not working right) and turned the car off immediately. Called to get it towed and tried to turn it on. It sounded like the engine was clunking so i just stopped trying. At this point the hyundai dealership is saying the timing chain is messed up and engine failure which is very very common with the tucson. Had right above 67000 on the car. |
