Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 hyundai tucson. The contact stated that while having a routine vehicle check-up by an independent mechanic, the technician informed the contact that the transmission main seal was leaking. The vehicle was test driven and the technician indicated that the transmission needed to be replaced due to the main seal leak. The transmission was replaced. The failure recurred. Additionally, the heater failed to engage properly. Johnny londoff chevrolet (1375 dunn rd, florissant, mo 63031, (314) 227-1437) was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was then informed that the vin was not under recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact to contact nhtsa to file a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 94,000. |
