Description of the problem | Tl*the contact owns a 2006 hyundai tucson. The contact stated that the electronic stability control (esc) light continued to illuminate on the instrument panel. In addition, the brake lights were inoperable. She was concerned that a rear end crash could occur due to the brake light failure. The manufacturer stated that they did not know which vin's would be included in nhtsa campaign id number 09v122000 and hyundai recall number 092. The recall notices would not be issued until july of 2009. The recall was initiated on april 15, 2009 (see nhtsa action number pe09003 for investigation details). The failure and current mileages were less than 80,000. |
