Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2005 hyundai tucson. After the contact released the brake pedal and depressed the accelerator pedal, the vehicle failed to accelerate. The contact stated that the failure also occurred while driving up a hill. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the alternator and serpentine belt were replaced, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer for diagnostic testing or repairs. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was informed that the plant that built the vehicle was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was 159,000. |
