Description of the problem	I'm writing to inform you that the sunroof exploded i was driving back from seattle, wa to bellevue, wa today after dropping off a friend. I was somewhere on i-90 eastbound in between w mercer way and the i-405 interchange when i heard a loud sound above my head that sounded like an explosion on the roof of my car. Not wanting to stop on the freeway, i came home and stopped the car. After getting out, i noticed that the sunroof on the glass was shattered and there was a big hole in it. Bits of broken glass all over the top of the sliding interior cover on the sunroof. Luckily the cover was closed or the glass would have fallen on me as i was driving. I was very tired after my trip, so i went to sleep and took photos in the evening. I have tried my best to show how the glass has exploded upward from the roof of the car. This shows that it was not due to a stone or other projectile landing on the sunroof, as that would have led to the glass being pushed in near the center of the impact. After doing a little research on the internet, i noticed that there were other reports of sunroofs exploding spontaneously.
