Description of the problem | The electronic steering dampener went on my 2009 hyundai elantra. The dealership said it had been under recall but they only did a computer reset. The steering wheel started to make a clicking noise. When i took it to the mechanic the next day the power steering went out. The rubber part had completely disintegrated. This is a known issue and hyundai would not cover my 2009 elantra with only 36000 miles on it. It was only covered for 5 year 50000 miles. The picture shows the new part on the left and on the right is the old part. The actual part was $11. 75 but labor cost 585. 00 due to the entire front interior of the car had to be removed. I would like a refund. |
