Description of the problem | I have a 2005 honda element. When the engine is cold it dies on a regular basis. I can start the car and let it warm up but it is very rough and still has a tendency to die when coming to a stop. I have taken it to a mechanic and they can find nothing wrong but i have looked at many honda element owner forums and it seems to be a very common and dangerous issue with the element. Once the engine dies, there is still battery power, but limited steering control. It happens nearly every morning 2-3 times and i live in california where it doesn't get nearly as cold as other parts of the country. This is a safety hazard with these cars. |
