Description of the problem | I began experiencing a shaking steering wheel during acceleration last fall. (approximately 70,000 miles) after replacing all 4 tires, replacing front brakes & rotors, replacing bearings, doing an alignment and having my mechanic rebuild the front driver's side axle, i finally gave up and went to the dealer. Within about 2 minutes of discussing this problem, the service manager told me that he had seen numerous problems with this vehicle and told me that honda had upgraded the axle. I had to replace both axles but no recall or information has ever been posted by honda for this problem. If this is, indeed a common problem on this vehicle, i think a recall should be initiated! |
