Description of the problem | The drivers side interior door handle will not open the drivers side door. The window has to be rolled down in order to open the door from the outside.... Based on the gmc forums i have read this happens to a lot of people. The replacement costs can run from $200-$800 due to plastic pieces and cables being used that melt and break easily. This is very dangerous because if someone were to ever get into an accident and they need to get out of the vehicle quickly they will not be able to open the driver side door if that is the only option to be able to get out. They will have to kick the window out in order to open the door with the outside handle. I am the original owner of the truck and am very disappointed this has appended at such a low mileage. |
