Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2017 gmc terrain. The contact stated while coming to a complete stop the vehicle was unexpectedly rear ended which forced the vehicle to slide forward unto the highway, the impact caused the air bags to not properly deploy with the service airbags light illuminating. The contact sustained back injuries that required medical attention, a police report was taken. The vehicle was taken to an independent shop where the vehicle damage was being repaired. The dealer was notified of the failure, however advised the contact to call the manufacturer. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
