Description of the problem | While running errands in light rain for my elderly parents (82 and 86), the windshield wipers stopped working. Since they halted in a vertical position, one blade interfered with driver visibility. Being a few miles from the folk's home, the vehicle was driven there. This would have been hazardous if the rain was heavier. The fuse affecting the front wipers was not 'blown' or damaged. Even with a new replacement fuse, the motor activated but the wiper arms remained still. Since i live over 3 hours away, i verified no rain was predicted for the return travel day due to safety concerns. |
