Description of the problem | While driving the windshield wipers stop working. This is very dangerous at night during periods of intense rainfall. This has happened on two occasions. Once at night during heavy rainfall with the wipers at a high continuous setting on a township road with no lines. On the other occasion i was driving on a divided highway during daytimewith light rainfall with the wipers on the intermittent setting. This is a design problem in which a plastic grommet deforms allowing it to fall from a steel ball which is part of the link which connects the windshield wiper motor to the 'transmission' that powers both wipers. |
