Description of the problem | I own a 2015 gmc terrain slt awd that i purchased in 2015 with 1000 miles on it. While i was traveling by myself (single woman) on an interstate highway frequented by semi-trucks from orlando, fl headed to jacksonville, fl at 9:30pm. At about over an hour and a half out of jacksonville, on a dark stretch of the highway a torrential downpour, began common for florida especially during hurricane season. Windshield wipers stopped working mid-wipe stopped in the left corner of my windshield. I was surrounded by semitrucks but by the grace of god, i was able to make it to the right shoulder. However, i was extremely hesitant because, it was dark and i could not see any obstructions such as stalled vehicles or stalled semi-trucks or road hazards unless i was on top of object. Incident occurred on september 18, 2019. |
