Description of the problem | I was driving in a rainstorm with my family on a county road and our windshield wipers suddenly stopped working and froze. With the downpour, there was no visibility to continue driving. I managed to pull over to the side of the road, although it was nearly impossible to see the road. Oncoming traffic made the experience very stressful and an accident could have easily occurred. We waited until the rain subsided and made it to a car repair place. They said it was more than likely the faulty windshield wiper linkage that caused it to malfunction. Our car engine was running fine, but only the windshield wipers were not working.
