Description of the problem | My wife called me during a heavy rainstorm, the wipers just stopped working while she was driving home. She pulled over into somebody's driveway. The fuse was fine and you could hear the wiper motor running. I (carefully) drove her car home, with her in front of me driving my truck, stopping occasionally to let cars pass and to manually wipe the windshield. Turns out the plastic bushing holding the wiper linkage together was worn and popped out of place. I bought a new wiper transmission assembly and installed it that night. |
