Description of the problem	The car was traveling approximately 70mph on i-77n in ohio during heavy rain. Without any warning, the wiper blades stopped working at all and got stuck in a hyper-extended "up" position. This caused immediate "blindness" to the road. Fortunately the vehicle was able to be driven slowly to the shoulder, where i got out and inspected the wipers. I could push them manually, but there was no motorized control whatsoever. Upon getting a tow home because there was no way to safely drive in the heavy rain with no wipers (an ordeal that took upwards of four hours), i found that the chintzy plastic wiper arm linkage bushings had worn out and come off of the bearing. This seems to be a common issue and has been reported before. The bushing that literally dictates whether you will see or not while driving in rain is made of a cheap plastic that broke after four years of use. Four years. We were traveling at 70mph in pouring rain on a busy highway. We lost all visibility in an instant. We could have died. This needs to be addressed.
