Description of the problem	The brakes on my 2016 gmc sierra 1500 with only 31,700 miles exhibited a hard brake petal and the vehicle would not stop. This happend at slow speeds while attemping to stop in parking spaces and at red lights on local roads. Most frightening was while back my truck and boat into a boat ramp the brakes would not stop the vehicle! I brought the truck to the local dealer who replaced the brake booster & the vaccum pump. I questioned if there were any service bulletins and i was told there were none. Fearing this could happen again , i searched on line and found other complaints effecting not only my make and model year but other gm/gmc models and years. I also found a texas lawsuit where the plaitiffs experience was very similiar to mine. I contacted gmc customer support to lodge my complaint and requested an extension to my bumper to bumper warranty . I was instructed to contact my local dealer to purchase and extended warranty. They went on to say there are no service bulletins or recalls for this issue for my vehicle.... This needs to be investigated as i am of the opinion that this is a saftey issue that is not being addressed properly. A vehice with less than 32,000 miles should not be having this type of dangerous problem . I'm of the belief there is a defect somewhere that needs to be fixed based on the complaints i'm seeing from others online.
