Description of the problem	The car just picked up speed and was difficult to slow down. I was able to maneuver the car off the expressway and turn the car off which allowed the car to slow down and stop. My brakes and tires were smoking (lucky no fire) but brand new brake pads gone. I discovered it was my cruise control cable ford denies any problem with the cable i will be replacing it and brakes this weekend.
