Description of the problem | My transmission failed while on the highway in rush hour traffic. There were no lights, sounds or any indication that there was a problem with the transmission beforehand. Luckily, there was a slow in the flow of traffic so that i could safely move my car off the road, but it could have been worse. I have tried to contact ford to advise them that the transmission is faulty, but have not received a response yet. The transmissions in the 2004 taurus definitely should be recalled as this is a safety hazard. |
