Description of the problem | Takata recall, jun 01,2016, manufacturer recall number16s26, nhtsa recall number16v384. Passenger side air bag recall dated 6-1-17. In december 2017 i am notified not to let anyone sit in the passenger seat. This effectively makes my car a one person car because no human adult can fit in the rear seat. I have asked my dealer for a loaner until the airbag is replaced and was denied. It is now 20 months since the original recall. Certainly ford is selling new cars with airbags. Why has it taken so long to replace my airbag? Please force ford to provide loaner cars in order to make them get serious about the recall. They sourced the inadequate takata airbags. This is a ford problem, them should have acted in a timely manner. |
