Description of the problem | "takata recall" received initial recall notice in the mail june 2016. Called ford dealer to schedule repair appointment but was told parts weren't available but they would notify me when parts become available. No follow up from them. So i called them on 1/18/2017 to find out if parts were available. They said yes and took vehicle to ford dealer on 1/23/2017. When i picked up my vehicle they told me this was only a temporary fix and ford would be contacting me when permanent fix was available. I received postcard on 11/12017 from t k holdings about takata bankruptcy. I called ford dealer to see about getting permanent fix done. They told me ford hadn't released any parts yet for the recall problem and there was thousands still out there waiting. This has be going on for 17 months since initial notice i received in mail stating "urgent recall notice". |
