Description of the problem | A couple months back, i rented a 2019 ford fusion, so the vin number in this report is only a sample. Twice, when i went to buckle the driver-side seatbelt, the end went not into the latch, but instead into the casing around the latch (see pictures). There was just enough friction to hold it in place and make it feel like it was latched, when in actuality, it was not. I contacted the local ford dealer twice, but got no reply. I then wrote a letter to ford motor co. Simply saying i had found an issue, but only got an obvious form letter saying "thank you". They didn't even ask for any details. Upon discussion of the issue with a friend, he said he had the same exact issue with a 2015 fusion. |
