Description of the problem | While traveling aprox 65mph down a 4 lane hwy at 6:20 am on 6/24/13, my car began to decelerate and would not respond/accelerate when the gas pedal was pressed. The red "wrench" light lit up on the information center on the dash board. I managed to get the car to the side of the road before it finally cut off. I waited a minute or two and tried attempted to restart the engine and it restarted successfully. I was able to cautiously continue driving until i reached a ford dealership later that morning at which point they told me it the throttle body. They went on to say that ford was not covering this repair and that there was no recall in effect! This repair cost me $300 of which i could not spare from my budget! Thankfully there were no cars or tractor trailer behind when my car began to decelerate! This needs to be a safety recall immediately, before many people are killed!!!! |
