Description of the problem | While driving the car loses power wrench light comes on and the car will not go. It will die as u coast over to the side of the road hoping the whole time the person behind you is not going to rearend you. This was very dangerous. I took it to my local ford dealership and was advised that the throttle actuator control was struck open they could try cleaning it and reset codes or i could purchase a new throttle control. The technician advised me that cleaning them using fixes the problem and thr throttle control part would be on back order and did not know when they could get it. I asked what if it doesnt fix the problem how much money am i out and then have to buy a throttle control. I feel this is a problem ford should be fixing when i can google it and there is a known problem. |
