Description of the problem | There is a serious problem with this car in that it will completely shut down while traveling at any speed whether 15 mph or 70 mph, with no warning. This could cause serious harm especially traveling on the interstate where you can be hit from behind at a high rate of speed. The car will restart after a few minutes, but when doing so will cancel the engine service code p2111 so that the dealer cannot id the problem. If you experience this problem, make them keep driving it until it happens to the service person. Issue is defective throttle body -potentiometer. The computer can't tell how much the throttle is open so it shut down. My teenager was driving this car and was almost re-ended twice. Very dangerous problem. Car should be recalled for this issue!!!!! |
