Description of the problem | Lost parking function on the transmission. Parking function is missing causing the vehicle to move after i park the car. Didn't realize until after i parked my car. Was walking towards the building that i noticed that the car was rolling back and had to run back, unlock the car and then push the brake. After investigating realized that the "p" function was missing. Did hear a huge clunking noise when i tried to park in the first place. This is a safety issue and action needs to be taken to address this issue and make ford provide an explanation for the 2. 5 l 6f35 transmission. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle with a bad transmission and the parking pawl broken inside the transmission. It was necessary to use parking brake to keep the car steady during parking. |
