Description of the problem	I was merging onto a highway from another highway. I was traveling at approximately 65 mph so i could merge into flowing traffic. I was about to merge into the two lanes on my right as the two lanes i was coming from were ending. As i was about to merge into the lane on my right my vehicle lost power and could not accelerate. The service light came on. I stayed in my lane which was quickly coming to an end. I put on my 4 way flashers to alert the other cars i had an issue. I stayed left until i noticed the cars on my right were aware that i needed to get over to the shoulder on the right side of the road. I pulled off the road and came to a stop. The car felt as if it was shuttering. I turned the car off and waited for a few minutes and then turned the car back on. The service light was now off and the shuttering was gone. When i took my vehicle to my mechanic it did not give any codes. Since then it has happened four more times. The last time engaging the check engine light. My mechanic was able to pull a code and it identified the throttle body. My mechanic contacted ford who will not cover a replacement part at this time, but stated they are aware of the issue and have 17,000 parts on back order.
