Description of the problem | My ford fusion displayed a wrench icon on the dash and lost power on the garden state parkway. There was no shoulder for me to pull over to, and i had to coast until there was a patch of dirt to pull into. Terrifying to say the least. Took it to our local ford dealership (where it is now), and we were told there is a backorder of 6800 throttle bodies, meaning we would have to rent a vehicle until ours was repaired. Ford should be paying for this rental car. I have researched this problem, and it appears to be rampant. This should be a recall and repaired at ford's cost. |
