Description of the problem | Driving 55 mph lost power, car shook violently, wrench light turned on, rolled off country road & turned car off. Restarted & drove home 600 miles without incident. Then on december 3, 2012 (2 weeks later) while driving 60 mph on busy highway at rush hour same thing happened... No power, wrench light, violent shaking. Fortunately, was in a busy downtown area with multiple exit ramps. Was able to "roll" off highway , turn off car & restart. Needed to do this several times. Got to destination ( i was shaking more than car) and same thing happened all the way home. Took to dealer who eventually replaced throttle body& haven't had an incident since. I feel this should be a recall problem after reading all the identical stories & expect my $100 deductible returned as i did have the extended warranty. |
