Description of the problem | My 2006 ford fusion 3. 0l v-6 is experiencing severe problems with the transmission. This all started at 55,000mi. It will slip out of gear at acceleration and clunks and thuds when it is downshifting. This is an extreme safety hazard, especially if you decide to turn quickly if front of on coming traffic. The trans just may not catch. Ford engineers know what the problem is. It is the transmission which ford purchased from "aisen" in germany. They have a defective control body which has extreme spool bore wear. Someone better require ford to fix this issue before someone gets hurt.... I have many close calls since i owned this car. The dealer wants to charge me 5000. 00 to fix their issue. Why is ford so hush hush? |
