Description of the problem | The car's chrome lug nuts are actually chrome caps over the steel lug nuts and they were all swollen up to the point two tire shops could not take them off without damaging them in autumn of 2017. On january 29, 2018 i bought 20 one piece chrome lug nuts from the auto zone store for $60. 90 as dewey ford said ford does not have one piece available, then wrote ford motor co. A letter asking for reimbursement. I also told them i had already replaced eight capped nuts on 7/29/2016. Ford denied payment claiming it to be a maintenance item. I paid $34. 24 for replacement capped nuts which i did not make a monetary claim in the letter but i do want them to pay me back for those also. I am claiming ford knew the capped nuts are an ongoing problem and i need to be paid $95. 14. I do have the bad lug nuts which they or you may examine if wished to do. |
