Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2006 ford focus. The contact stated that the accelerator pedal was extremely resistant and could only be depressed partially. The pedal was able to be pushed when the vehicle was shut off and when driving, the contact would have to pump the accelerator pedal in order to operate the vehicle. In addition, the pedal would become stuck intermittently and the vehicle would decelerate before resisting any acceleration attempts. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer.
