Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2014 ford flex. While the vehicle was parked, the engine would crank, but the vehicle would not start without warning. The vehicle was towed to pittsville ford (7155 friendship rd, pittsville, md 21850, (877) 760-5870), but the failure could not be duplicated. Months later, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed back to the same dealer where the vehicle started up again without incident. When the failure occurred a third time, the contact disconnected the battery cable, waited a few moments, and the vehicle started without incident. When the failure occurred the fourth time, the same battery operation was not successful and the contact had to have the vehicle towed back to the same dealer. The contact associated the failures with nhtsa campaign number: 16v621000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failures and verified that the vin was not included in the recall and the vehicle was not under warranty. No further assistance was offered. The vehicle had not been repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
