Description of the problem | I was driving on the interstate and heard a loud pop and thought someone had shot at my car, it scared me and with my response swerved and i almost had an accident. Later as it turned out it was a common window regulator defect on ford trucks and suv's. They have built it with the purpose of failure and a high cost to the owner to repair this and no guarantee that it will work and not fail again soon. This should be a recall to all those ford's with this failure. It is going to cost just under $400. 00 to fix with no guarantee. It is indeed a safety issue when it happens while driving at high speeds or anywhere around any other cars, not to mention the window dropping, who knows it could shatter and cause a severe injury. |
