Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2005 ford f-150. The contact stated that the vehicle would sporadically fail to respond to the contact's attempts to accelerate. The vehicle would slowly accelerate and would feel as if it were dragging. When the failure occurred, the vehicle would not accelerate over 10mph. The dealer cleaned the throttle body and the repair briefly corrected the failure before recurring. The dealer then advised that the entire throttle body would need replacing. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 91,000 and the current mileage was approximately 94,000. |
