Description of the problem | Ltr fwd fm (va) re incident of unintended sudden acceleration fm owner of a 2005 ford f-150 truck, reply to emporia, va ofc. *tgw the consumer stated he experienced sudden acceleration about four times during the 4 1/2 he has owned the truck. There were minimal rpm's created and he was previously told to hold the truck with the brake and shift into neutral. The truck would then decelerate. However, the last time the incident occurred, the consumer was unable to stop the truck and it accelerated into an intersection. The consumer stated the incidents occurred when the vehicle was cold, or hadn't been driven very far. *jb |
