Description of the problem | The 2005 f150 supercrew has a shutter in the rear end when accelerating from a complete stop. A family friend had alerted us about ford's service bulletin about this problem, but has not issued a recall to the best of my knowledge. Our friend, a mechanic, felt the problem were the bearings in the rear end, so he installed all new bearings, however, this has not solved the problem. My vehicle only has 51,000 miles on it and it should not have problems like this. Also, the engine has a knock in it. A local mechanic stated ford was also aware of this problem and will not issue a recall!*ak |
