Description of the problem | Vehicle was parked after fueling with key off and removed the brake master cylinder spontaneously caught fire, this occurred 45 minutes after the vehicle was parked and shut off. The fire was caught in time to not cause severe damage, the master cylinder with attached plugs/harnesses and close proximity parts were melted. The fire department responded and claimed the fire was caused by a faulty cruise control plug on the master cylinder, that was under recall. |
