Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2001 ford f-150. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked and off, smoke was seen coming from under the hood. The contact stated the hood was opened and flames were seen in the engine. The contact extinguished the fire with a water hose. The fire department or police were not notified. The contact mentioned that no damage was seen in the interior of the vehicle. A case was also opened with the manufacturer whom instructed the contact to have the vehicle towed to a dealer.
